Self-assessment helps you structure your entrepreneurship competence and helps you integrate entrepreneurial competence acquired outside higher education as part of your studies.  Self-assessment supports the practices of your higher education institution.

As a result, you will receive an assessment of your entrepreneurship competence.

You can use self-assessment to prepare for the recognition of your existing entrepreneurship competence, or the accreditation of entrepreneurship competence demonstrated in some other manner.

When you receive a summary of your responses to the self-assessment, compare it with your course. Contact the teacher responsible for the course to discuss your competence and how it matches the course.


Then think about how to demonstrate your competence (see the following question for tips) and present your suggestions to the teacher in charge of the course.

Questions related to the recognition of (prior) learning, and accreditation of learning demonstrated in some other manner

Each higher education institution has its own procedures for the recognition of (prior) learning and accreditation of learning demonstrated in some other manner. Tips for demonstrating competence can be found in the Tips section.

They mainly differ in terms of when the competence has been acquired. Recognition of (prior) learning refers to previously acquired competence which can be integrated as part of your studies through accreditation or demonstration of competence.

Through the accreditation of learning demonstrated in some other manner, on the other hand, you can use the competence acquired either at work or in pastime activities alongside your studies as part of your degree in a predetermined manner. In order to have such competence accredited, you will need to draw up a plan together with a person responsible for the studies.
